This is a page full of links to movie and politics news that has helped me waste my morning before I really really have to start work:

Scriptshadow has an interesting script review of ‘Monster Relocation Programme.’ A spec with an awesome title. It sold for $1.5 million dollars, the moral is: think of a great title, make the script as good as the title and start writing pg cert scripts.

Next up a post by screenwriter John August. He makes some great points about those that teach – I think his comments about great producers is spot on. It’s always struck me that you don’t have to be a great cook to know something tastes terrible. What does take skill is knowing why it tastes terrible and how you can make it taste nice.  I think this is where the experience of actually making films and writing films and working with writers day in day out has to help you become a better teacher.

A trailer of Blitz (over at Slash Film) which co-stars Luke Evans (who is the lead actor in our thriller Money) It looks great to me.

Finally and interesting piece over at the playlist debating who will be the villain in the new batman movie ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. My money is on two they haven’t mentioned, Narcosis – His mother was a lush and his father was a thief. They were both sent away and he was neglectfully passed around the city. At the age of five his face was horrifically burned in a kitchen accident and, coupled with his family being split up, he began having chronic nightmares. He hates Gotham for being neglectful and wishes to plunge the city into an ever-lasting nightmare. My other hot tip is The Spook – Val Kaliban is one of the world’s greatest escape-artists, and uses his extraordinary abilities together with special effects to commit spectacular crimes and make people believe he was a real ghost. Both of these villains play to Nolan’s interests and strengths – the examination of madness and slight of hand.
